Heng Joo Ng
Heng Joo Ng, M.D., is a senior consultant and Head of the Department of Haematology, Singapore General Hospital. He is an Clinical Associate Professor with the Duke–National University of Singapore School of Medicine, and clinical lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Ng’s research interests and publications focus on various aspects of thrombosis and hemostasis, and include investigating the optimization of treatment, monitoring and prophylaxis of venous thromboembolic diseases, as well as therapeutic intervention for bleeding disorders. He also has an interest in patient safety and is the Director of Patient Safety, Singapore General Hospital.
Soo-Mee Bang, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor of Hematology-Oncology in the Internal Medicine Department at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. She received her M.D. and Ph.D. from Seoul National University and went on to complete residencies and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Seoul National University Hospital.
She is board certified for internal medicine and hematology-oncology. Her recent publications have included work on VTE in hospitalized elderly patients with cancer, the incidence of VTE in Korea and VTE in multiple myeloma patients.

Adam Cuker, M.D., is Associate Professor of Medicine and Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his M.D. from Yale University and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He continued his postgraduate training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was a fellow in hematology/ oncology. He holds a Masters degree in Translational Research from the University of Pennsylvania. He is Director of the Penn Comprehensive Hemophilia & Thrombosis Program, Assistant Director of the Penn Specialized Coagulation Laboratory, and Associate Director of the Penn-CHOP Blood Center for Patient Care and Discovery. He conducts patient-oriented research on disorders of hemostasis and thrombosis.
