Adam Cuker, M.D., is Associate Professor of Medicine and Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his M.D. from Yale University and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He continued his postgraduate training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was a fellow in hematology/ oncology. He holds a Masters degree in Translational Research from the University of Pennsylvania. He is Director of the Penn Comprehensive Hemophilia & Thrombosis Program, Assistant Director of the Penn Specialized Coagulation Laboratory, and Associate Director of the Penn-CHOP Blood Center for Patient Care and Discovery. He conducts patient-oriented research on disorders of hemostasis and thrombosis.
Jorge David Korin, M.D., received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires. He has held numerous positions during his career including Chief of Hematology at Sanatorio de los Arcos in Buenos Aires and Professor at the University of Buenos Aires. His was a visitor of the hematology services at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA, 1987) and MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, USA, 2010). He was President of the Argentine Society of Hematology from 2003-2005 and President of the XVII Argentine Congress of Hematology held in 2005. He was President of Grupo Cooperativo Argentino de Hemostasia y Trombosis from 1996-1998 and President of the III Argentine Congress of Hemostasis and Thrombosis in 1998.
Luis Antonio Meillon García received his medical degree from Universidad La Salle in Mexico City, Mexico followed by fellowships in internal medicine and hematology. He is currently a professor of hematology at the Cancer Center, the ABC Medical Center in Mexico City, Mexico. He has previously served as the chair of the hematology department at Hospital de Especialidades, Centro Médico Nacional, Siglo XXI in Mexico City and a professor of hematology at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He is Vice President of Agrupación Mexicana para el Estudio de la Hematología and is the current Mexican ambassador of the SOHO (Society of Hemato-Oncology, USA).
He has been published in national and international journals including Blood, Cancer, Annals of Vascular Surgery, American Journal of Hematology, Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, Hemoglobin, Archives of Medical Research and Gaceta Médica de México.
Adrian Torres-Machorro, M.D., is a general surgeon specialized in vascular and endovascular surgery trained at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición “Salvador Zubiran.” She completed her training in France at Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire Grand Paris Nord/Est and Hôpital Marie Lannelongue.
Currently, she is a National Researcher SNI Level 1 and an attached physician of the Department of Surgery of the National Institute of Cardiology “Ignacio Chávez” in Mexico City. She is primarily interested in aortic disease, limb salvage and complex vascular access.
