ISTH Program Information

The ISTH 2020 Virtual Congress Program is now available here. The program will feature:

  • 4 plenaries: 2 independent sessions on July 12 and 2 independent sessions on July 13, all with live moderation.

  • 13 total State-of-the-Arts sessions, with 6 concurrent SOA sessions on July 12 and 7 concurrent SOA sessions on July 13, all with live moderation and Q&As with speakers.

  • 17 total oral communications sessions on July 12-13, each featuring 5 presentations on the latest abstracts, all with live moderation and Q&As with speakers.

  • A full day of supported symposia and product theater presentations from industry leaders on July 14.

  • 24 Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) subcommittee sessions from June 22-July 11. Note, these sessions are not listed on the main program. Find the schedule here.

Abstracts and ePosters: All abstracts and hundreds of ePosters will be available through an interactive portal for review.

CME: Participants will be eligible for up to 4.5 hours of CME. This is only available for LIVE participation* See details below.

    The ISTH 2020 Virtual Congress will have has 13 total State-of-the-Art sessions featuring world-renowned speakers. Each session will have three invited speakers. They will focus on various topics including:

    • clinical management of VTE in cancer patients 

    • thrombosis and hemostasis in pregnancy 

    • platelet function and signaling

    • pediatric thrombosis

    • endothelium physiology and pathology

    • coagulation and natural anticoagulants

    • pediatric hemophilia

    The annual ISTH Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) subcommittee sessions will take place from June 22-July 11, prior to the main ISTH 2020 Congress program. Sessions will be streamed through the ISTH Academy. More details and registration coming soon.

    SSC Session Schedule:

    Each session will be two hours and will have two showings with live moderation and Q&A at 08:00 U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (12:00 UTC) and 20:00 EDT (00:00 UTC of the following day). Convert your time here.



    CME Credits can ONLY be claimed for attendance during the LIVE Virtual Congress.


    CME Credits will NOT be available for attendance and/or viewing of the On-Demand sessions. Plenary and State-of-the-Art LIVE sessions on Sunday, July 12 and Monday, July 13 are the only sessions available to claim credit.


    If you did not claim credit on Sunday, July 12 or Monday, July 13, but attended a LIVE session and would like to claim CME credit, please email


    A link will then be provided to complete the evaluation. Once the evaluation has been completed, your certificate will automatically generate for you to download to print and a copy will be sent to your email. Credits can be claimed through Monday, August 30, 2020.
